The Concordia Greenhouse Project will be hosting our annual seedling sale on Friday May 22nd (2026) on the 7th floor of Hall Bldg (SGW Campus). Our garden friends Co-op Cultivaction, Hamidou Horticulture, mind.heart.mouth and City Herbal Apprenticeship will all be there selling their seedlings. As well we will have our community friend Iris (with her pottery). We can’t wait to see everyone!
Every spring, the Concordia Greenhouse hosts its Annual Seedling Sale, offering a wide selection of sustainably grown vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings to the campus and wider community. Operating since 2012, our small-scale, student-driven greenhouse focuses on the importance of local food systems and urban agriculture. The seedlings are carefully started and nurtured by our team, providing an accessible way for community members to start their own gardens while supporting the Greenhouse’s ongoing educational and sustainability initiatives.
The Seedling Sale is more than just a fundraiser, it’s an opportunity to connect the community with the values of food sovereignty, ecological stewardship, and hands-on learning. Each year, the event helps fund Greenhouse projects and programming while encouraging community members to grow their own food and herbs, whether on balconies, in backyards, or in community gardens. By participating, supporters help sustain the Greenhouse’s mission of cultivating urban agriculture knowledge and building a greener, healthier city.
