Whether you’re passionate about plants, sustainability, or community building, the Concordia Greenhouse offers multiple ways to get involved and grow your skills.
Volunteering with us is a rewarding way to contribute to hands-on projects, learn about botany and urban agriculture, and connect with like-minded peers. As a volunteer, you’ll gain practical experience working with plants, assist in operations, and support our mission to promote environmental awareness on campus.
For those looking to deepen their learning, our intern partnership with the Loyola College for Sustainability and Diversity* provides opportunities to develop expertise in areas like plant propagation, digital content management, or sustainability research. Interns work closely with staff and faculty on meaningful projects that build professional skills while making a tangible impact within the greenhouse and beyond.
If you have an idea or passion project you want to pursue, you can also propose your own working group to collaborate with fellow students. Working group applications are currently on hold until Winter Semester 2026.
* If you are the administrator for an academic department with a credited internship program and you are curious how we can work together to offer students an engaging internship please reach out using our contact form.
