Volunteering offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community organization, sustainability practices, environmental stewardship, while contributing to meaningful projects. Additionally, volunteering can be added to your co-curricular record, demonstrating your commitment to community involvement and sustainability.

Specializing in vermicomposting (worms!), ABCompost brings a unique learning experience to our team. If you are looking to get your hands REALLY dirty, this is the one for you.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty in both the perennial herb garden and Loyola food forest. Our volunteer sessions are open to everyone! Volunteers will be able to take home harvests in exchange for their labour – please byob (bag)! Contact Kelly.

Hamidou Horticulture – Loyola
On Hiatus for the Winter

Hamidou Horticulture grows African and ethnic vegetables right here in Quebec. Join us Mondays between 11 AM and 2 PM at our Loyola garden plot to help prepare the soil and learn how to grow these crops. Please register through CERVIS so we know to expect you! CERVIS Sign Up.

Our mission is to shift towards food-sovereign communities by practicing regenerative agriculture to nourish locally. Through hands-on learning, we help people grow their own food and take part in building strong food systems. Our work is political, rooted in justice and solidarity with like-minded groups.
