Help Save the Greenhouse! Volunteers Needed!
The Greenhouse is in dire straits and requires 750 undergraduate signatures for march’s student elections! Meeting this Thursday, February the 14th at 11:30 in the Greenhouse, we will be giving a short introduction about the petition, and then rounding up to be signers! Petitioning will continue as long as volunteers are available! Or if you have additional inquiries feel free to email d1kiel@gmail.com.

Give your valentine a gift that keeps on growing.  Abandon the cut flower industry this year, and support your local community greenhouse. Plants cost from $3-$10, and are varieties selected for indoor growing. What better way is there to say happy valentines day, than filling your home (and friends homes) with little green friends?!
Please bring boxes and/or bags for carrying your plants home.

Sustainabili-TEA: Urban Agriculture at Concordia
Tuesday, February 12th, 5 – 7pm
The Library
A discussion of urban agriculture in the downtown area surrounding the university. Hosted by Marcus Lobb, Co-coordinator of the City Farm School, and Joanna McConnel, Four season Growing Project Coordinator and Greenhouse collective member.
Locally grown tea will be served, and a short film will be screened after the discussion.

Allowing Yourself to Grow: Promoting Self-Compassion to Prevent Burnout

What does it take for a plant to grow?  Just like plants, we need nourishment and love in order to grow and be happy. In this workshop, we will work through embracing self-compassion which has been shown to be a valuable coping resource when people are struggling with difficult situations in their lives.  Being in a Imagecompetitive and achievement-driven environment as students, the concept of adopting a kind, accepting and non-judgemental attitude toward ourselves is often undermined. Reduce and prevent burnout by supporting yourself rather than judging yourself, while meditationworking to attain the goals you want to achieve! Due to the location of the workshop, space is limited so we ask students to honor their booking or cancel in advance so other students may benefit from the workshop.This is an event open to students at concordia but you do have to register :

Tea Atrium Events Team Meeting
Wednesday, Feb. 13th at 3:30.
There is a vision for the atrium events team for this semester: events and activities around springtime wild edibles! This upcoming spring we hope to hit up our local sourplanning for all of this greatness.ces of delicious and nutritious wild foods that found in Imageand around Montreal, so events will center around harvesting, processing and Eating such delights. If this interests you we’re having our next planning meeting Wednesday, January 30th at 3:30pm to continue

MAGIC TIME from 1 to 5 every Thursday, the Concordia Greenhouse tea atrium is where you want to spend your Crafternoon! But why is the Time so Magical, you might ask? Maybe because we refuse to see time, talent and limited resources as obstacles to creative thinking. The time has been set aside,the tea has been brewed, the materials are all offered to you, and the knowledge is there for the taking. Hooray for craftyness! We’ve got TWO craftivities for your Valentine’s delight. And all for free!Image
