Join us for the world premiere of “A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF MONTREAL’S CITY FARM SCHOOL”. This beautiful documentary follows the people and plants of city farm school through an entire season of growing and learning. Created by Anne Kostalas, award winning BBC documentary filmmaker, this film gives a behind the scenes look at what goes into a full season of urban farming. From seed to seed, this documentary shows everything from starting your plants from seeds in the spring, through harvesting and selling at markets to finally collecting the seeds again and putting the garden to sleep for the winter.
The event will take place May 12th at 8pm on zoom. Hosted by Lynne Cooper, there will be a live screening of the documentary followed by a Q&A to discuss urban agriculture in Montreal with the filmmaker Anne Kostalas, Jackie Martin City Farm School Coordinator, Tala Chebib City Farm School Alumna and other members of the CFS community. You will also learn about the great Greenhouse Revitalization project that has been going on during the lockdown and get details about the upcoming spring seedling at the greenhouse.
